What is Play Therapy?
According to APT, play therapy defines as “the systematic use of a theoretical model to establish an interpersonal process wherein trained play therapists use the therapeutic powers of play to help clients prevent or resolve psychosocial difficulties and achieve optimal growth and development.”
Background of Approved Provider (# 06-181)
The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong is the first approved continuing education provider (APT Approved Provider 06-181) by the Association for Play Therapy (United States) in Hong Kong. We have been offering the post-graduate level play therapy continuing education since 2011. We dedicated to support the mental health professionals who would like to learn play therapy for supporting our children with a better life.
Play Therapy Training Workshop 2020 (Total 30 contact hours)
(FULL) Workshop 1: Play Therapy in Grief Counselling (8 Jan & 15 Jan 2020; 10am-5pm) 12 contact hours
Workshop 2: Use of Narrative approaches in Play Therapy (13 June & 20 June 2020; 10am-5pm) 12 contact hours
Workshop 3: Using Play Therapy to treat child anxiety (23 Sep 2020; 10am-5pm) 6 contact hours
Social workers, counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists or other mental health professionals. (Participants must hold a completed graduate mental health degree)

According to the RPT Credentialing standards by Association for Play Therapy (USA), participants who are going to earn their accredited Play Therapy training hours MUST either studying or completed their Master degree in related Mental Health Profession.
